Description
MANCASPAZIO is a short walk from what was the most important art gallery in Nuoro until the 1990s: Chironi88, run by Sandra Piras, a driving force in the island’s art world whose exhibitions made her a trailblazer for avant-garde art in Sardinia.
In the same vein and learning from the example set by Chironi88, MANCASPAZIO was founded to discover or rediscover contemporary artists, while keeping the door open to dialogue with those of the past of particular interest, some of the work of whom is still unknown.
Every MANCASPAZIO exhibition is accompanied by a bilingual catalogue, with photographs by Nelly Dietzel, graphic design by Sara Manca and texts by Chiara Manca, translated by Shahrazad Hassan.
