The settlement includes a nuragh and a village dating back 3600 years, to the Bronze Age, although there are signs that there was already a human presence in the area at least a century earlier.

The village preserves important evidence of the development of nuraghic Sardinia’s proto-historical architecture, the excavation of the nuragh and the huts having revealed the transition from one building model to another.

The architectural history of nuraghs is divided into two phases: that of proto-nuraghs and that of the classic tower in the shape of a truncated cone. Besides traditional circular huts, older and more rare rectangular huts were also discovered at the site.
