Museo di archeologia industriale Le vie dell'acqua
Description
The core of the Museo di archeologia industriale Le vie dell'acqua is a group of three mills, two of which are fulling mills that stand as examples of industrial and rural archaeology and are still operational.
The fulling mills, built in the eighteenth century, were used for the production of orbace, a traditional Sardinian fabric made from sheep’s wool.
The other mill was used for grinding grain grown in Tiana’s valleys.
During the guided tour of the site, all three mills are started up so that you can see how they work.
