MACLula – Museo Arte Contemporanea
Description
The Museo Diffuso d’Arte Contemporanea, Lula is primarily private, and its mission is to preserve and promote contemporary art by Italian and international artists and share it with the public.
The museum is also committed to contributing to the development of tourism in Lula and nearby towns with exhibitions and cultural activities that engage the surrounding area, enriching the study of and education in art and culture.
The idea for the museum was the brainchild of the head of the association Julia Spazio d’Arte, Domenico Fumagalli, a Milanese connoisseur, collector and art lover who decided to create a contemporary art museum with his private collection of paintings and sculptures of local, Italian and international importance.
Working with his companion Mariolina Mannia, who is originally from Lula, and their team, he has launched, entirely voluntarily and free of charge, a truly bold, alternative cultural challenge.
