It was the home of the artist Carmelo Floris until his death.
At the end of the 1990s, it was purchased by the city of Olzai, restored and transformed into a house museum devoted to the artist and his work.

The rooms are decorated with the original furniture and display the museum’s permanent collection: mostly oil paintings, watercolours, monotypes, woodcuts and etchings, but also some sketches and studies.

The artist’s studio is on the upper floor, its large windows looking out on the town on one side of the room and onto the mountain on the other, filling the space with light.
Here, you find part of his book collection, small pieces of unfinished pottery, the artist’s brushes and paints and an oil painting he was working on when he died.
