The Malicas city park is home to Castello Guzzetti, a castle built in the early twentieth century by the count of Guzzetti.

During a trip to Sardinia, the count, originally from Milan, fell in love with the area and its wildlife and had a hunting lodge built there complete with a two-and-a-half-hectare park.

Located on a basaltic rock, the castle has a medieval air, with crenelation that once hosted two small decorative canons. The count, who was known locally for his kind heart, died in poverty.

In 1986, the castle was acquired by the town, along with part of the land, which is now the Malicas city park. The park is also home to a small necropolis of domus de janas (fairy house) chamber tombs.
