Located in the majestic Lanaitto (or Lanaittu) Valley in the Oliena area, it is named after a famous bandit who used it as his hideout.

The cave extends for 130 metres and is divided into three chambers.
The first is large, dry and illuminated by a pale light – this is where the bandit Giovanni Corbeddu Salis lived.

The second chamber, accessed via a corridor, is where the earliest evidence of human life on the island was found, dating to the Upper Palaeolithic, as well as finds from the Mesolithic and early Neolithic.
The cave ends with a well that was once connected to Supramonte’s vast subterranean system.
