Aritzo
Casa Devilla
Description
An ancient Spanish-style manor house dating back to the 17th century, featuring a front courtyard that highlights the role of the Devilla family within the Aritzo community.
Representatives of the agrarian and professional bourgeoisie, the Devilla family were contractors in the snow industry (Lords of the Snow) from the 1800s until this activity ceased in the early 20th century. Today, the building serves as a section of the Ecomuseum of the Sardinian Mountain or Gennargentu, featuring the Chestnut Museum and the museum of carved chests.
