Giovanni Antonio Sulas (b. 17 October 1911, Nuoro–d. 24 July 2008, Nuoro) was an Italian painter.

Sulas was passionate about art and the aesthetics of life from an early age. Self-taught, he developed a personal style influenced by local artists like Mario Delitala, Carmelo Floris and Francesca ‘Pupa’ Devoto.

He painted landscapes, still lifes and portraits. Adverse to public display, he preferred private contact with buyers and sometimes made gifts rather than display his work.

Nurturing a lasting passion for art, he was inspired by Italian artists like De Pisis, Pirandello and Morandi.
Despite his lack of formal training, he became an art consultant for film and television, contributing to various major projects.
He worked as art consultant and set decorator for director Augusto Genina’s film L'Edera and director Mario Landi’s television adaptation of Reeds in the Wind. He was an active member of the committee for the funeral of Grazia Deledda and contributed to setting up the house museum devoted to the writer.

He contributed his expertise in Sardinian culture and worked with famous architects to design and furnish structures that authentically reflect Sardinia.
